ABB - Next level scalability, flexibility and energy efficiency.

Customized solution for large commercial buildings and industrial environments with our Control Unit SCU100

This convenient control unit collects measurement data from as many as 16 energy and power meters at the same time as that of 96 current sensors or digital input/output modules.
Can't be on site? No problem because monitoring can also be done remotely thanks to digital communication that supports various protocols such as Modbus RTU, TCP or SNMP v1, v2 and encrypted v3. As icing on the cake, thanks to 2 interfaces and easy integration with any IT infrastructure, we have LAN (TCP/IP or Modbus TCP) and RS485 (Modbus RTU).

To return to the Digital input and output modules and what is the use of these, read on quickly. You can use these to read the contact status of installation circuit breakers or earth leakage protection devices. Using a motor control with these modules, it is then also possible to switch circuit breakers and protection devices on or off remotely. Would you like to have the info about your water and gas meters? These can also be read out thanks to a pulse output.

Finally, of course, the digital live interface is what ties it all together. The InSite web server gives you access to several preconfigured pages. In this way you can very quickly and easily monitor, compare and structure real-time, as well as historical data. So on this interface, or dashboard, you can quickly display your energy management, load management, but perhaps most important of all, the energy cost calculator. So you have all the important data about your connected installation on 1 screen at a glance, and you can optimize your energy consumption.

Thanks to the handy function where you can set automatic actions, nothing will escape you anymore. Suppose, for example, that a set limit is exceeded in voltage, current or power, your set function provides an instant response to this exceeded value. This completes the picture of the SCU100.

Elektro Internationaal - Unburdening with Vendor Managed Inventory
Optimising internal logistics is often a challenge for panel builders, from grab stock management to getting a grip on delivery times. Especially when production is spread across multiple sites, like at Elektro Internationaal (EI) in Woerden. In 2016, the company already took a big step, together with itsme Connected Business, at their batch production site. This was related to the introduction of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) in the form of a 2BIN system. In the near future, EI expects to start the construction of new premises, whereby all activities will be brought under one roof. At that point, the logistics for the entire production will also be optimised.
