3M™ SecureFit™ X Series Hearing Protection
New standard in Design, Comfort and Protection.
Our goal is to reduce the number of cases of hearing loss from noise in the workplace through innovative solutions. The development of the 3M Peltor X series earmuffs is our next step towards achieving this ambitious goal.
The 3M™ PELTOR™ X Series earmuffs are available in headband, neckband and helmet models with P3E mounts. If chosen and worn correctly, these products help reduce exposure to dangerous noise levels and loud noise. With a unique colour coding system to visually identify the level of protection worn. The damping values offered range from SNR 26 dB to SNR 37 dB to meet the needs of a wide range of environments and applications.
The helmet-mounted version is designed to fit a wide range of industrial safety helmets and rigid hoods used in the 3M powered air supply systems.
Electrically insulated (dielectric) properties:
- The metal wire of the headband version is covered with a non-conductive material.
- These headband versions are electrically insulated, resistant to a voltage of up to 1.2 kV, in an external laboratory with a modified test method based on EN397:2012 under dry conditions.
- The user must determine the overall suitability of this product for its intended application, taking into account hazards other than noise for which this product has been tested and approved.
